Has it been a year???

Has it really been a year?  I can't believe it!  Time is a strange thing, isn't it? It seems to snail along when we are waiting on vacation or other special events to get here and then all of a sudden we realize how quickly it went by.  When I was little and wished something would hurry up and get here my mom would tell me not to wish my life away.  I now know what she meant by that.

With that said, I can't believe we have had our Rosie for 3 years, nine months on the 18th.  She has added so much to our life. We love her today as much as we did the day we got her, even more.  She drives us nutty sometimes when we try to figure out what she wants. It amazes us what she knows.  Jerry can just say the word 'pizza' and she is up and barking.  She loves it.  We can ask her if she wants to go and she will fly to the back of the couch to put a dress on.  She practically runs slap into it.  Some people don't think she likes to wear clothes but she really does. I bought her a sweet Christmas dress.

Doesn't she look sweet?

She really needs a bath.  I plan to get her to the groomers this week.  She had been having quite a few bad hair days lately.

What do you think?

This past summer we installed some fencing so she can run around the back yard and we don't have to worry about her chasing a cat or squirrel into the road.  She is a super fast runner and there is no stopping her once she starts.  She is quite funny in the back yard without a leash, though.  She just stands there like she doesn't know what to do.  She eventually will walk around a bit but I don't think she realizes she isn't leashed.

Rosie stills loves it when the kids show up.  Alex spent the night over here last week and slept on the couch.  Rosie usually jumps all over her in the morning, sleeping or not.  This particular morning she just stared at her and waited for Alex to wake up.

Christmas is just a little over a week away.  She, of course, has presents under the tree.  The last couple of years we put a little fence around the tree. We aren't, so far, this year.   We will see how it goes.  She isn't crazy about the noise the wrapping paper makes as I wrap the gifts but she does like to play with the cardboard ribbon rolls when I am done.  I need to get a pic of her playing with them.

I will try to update more frequently in the future.  In the meantime, have a Merry Christmas.

We love our Rosie Girl.
