I can't believe that it has been so long since I wrote on this blog. I saw a friend the other day and she asked me if I still wrote about Rosie on my blog and I had to tell her how long it had been. Sorry to all my (4) faithful followers. I read quite a few blogs regularly and I am always disappointed when they aren't updated regularly. I guess I have learned my lesson. I will try to do better.
Since it has been so long, I don't even know where to begin. I will start by saying the Rosie is still the highlight of our day. She is the first thing we tend to in the morning and the last thing we do at night. Mornings, of course, consist of immediately taking her out to do her business and walk her out to the box to get the paper. Night time comes with both of us hugging her goodnight and putting her to bed before we go upstairs. The 'in-between-time' consist of her still untying Jerry's shoes in the morning while he reads the paper and then him feeding her breakfast while he eats his. Most days she goes to work with me in the afternoon. When I come home at lunch and ask her of she wants to go to work, she gets excited, jumps on the back of the couch and waits for me to put her dress on. Yes, she loves to get dressed. People don't believe that, but she really does.
She loves riding in the car on the way to work. Actually she loves riding in the car anytime. She has a good sense of direction. She sits on a pillow on my left side and looks out of the window. If I take a different road to work she start whining. She knows something is not right. If I go to my sister, (Milo's mom), after work, there is a certain point right when we turn on Sunset Drive where Rosie starts her little high pitched excited bark when she realizes we are going in the direction of Milo's house. If we go to Paige's (Gibby and Reesie's), Rosie starts the same excitement when she sees the Chinquapin ponds. It is so funny.
On the 4th of July, Rosie had her first swim. She did not particularly like it but it was so darn cute. She even had on her bathing suit. She didn't swim long. Her daddy dried her off and let her run around the yard playing with the cats and Gibby and Reesie.
All and all, Rosie has been the adventure we hoped for. We love her beyond anything we would have dreamed. She is no longer a little puppy, she is more than one and half years old now but it hasn't changed how much fun we have with her.
I love my Rosie, even after all these months.
