This has been a very big day for Rosie. Not one she particularly liked though. We had an appointment with the vet to get her spayed. First of all she got no snack after doing her business outside last night or this morning. Then she had no breakfast, not even water this morning. To top it off, she had to ride in the car, not her favorite thing. The minute we walked in to the doctor's office she starts shaking. I hated leaving her there. They told me I could call after 12:30 to check on her. Of course I did. She was fine. When I went to get her up she was in a sleepy daze. She didn't whine on the way home but when I picked her up to carry her in she cried. When she moves around, she cries. If I move her around, she cries. She has slept nearly all evening. I hope she sleeps all night. There was one wierd thing they did at the vets. The receptionist asked me if I wanted her teeth, that the doctor had pulled her baby teeth while she was under anesthesia. She said that is a usual thing they do...and for some reason, even unknown to me, I said yes, I wanted them. Why do I want her baby teeth? Now that I have them, I can't make myself throw then out, so I guess I will start her a momento box and her baby teeth will be the first thing I put in there:)
Well, supposedly she will be much better in the morning. I can't bathe her or let her tummy get wet until the stitches come out in 10 days. She can eat in the morning. Not sure if she will want to though. I offered her water tonight and she licked some off of my fingers but didn't take any from the bowl.
I hate seeing her like this but it had to be done. I have a great boss and he said I could bring her to work with me in the morning. That way I will be able to keep an eye on her. I hope she behaves herself.
I love my Rosie, particularly when she doesn't feel good.
