Mayhem....then friends

I have posted before about how Rosie gets really really excited when she has company.  It doesn't matter if it is family, human friends, doggie friends or even strangers.  But she gets the most excited when it is of the doggie variety. She loves jumping run and acting like a lunatic when someone brings their pet over.  She can't get over the fact that there are others that look sort of like her and smell sort of like her and sound sort of like her. It makes her happy.  A few weeks ago, Paige brought Gibbie and Chong over.  Chong is an older dog and generally ignores Rosie and Rosie eventually will give up messing with him.  Gibbie, on the other hand, is only about 8 months old and loves to run around and play too.  I think he met his match with the wild and crazy Rosie though.  At first it is mayhem with Rosie jumping in Gibbie's face and barking and whining like a wild dog, but eventually they start actually playing. It really is quite sweet to watch them play.  It makes them both happy to play with someone on a more level playing field. I quess we all need that from time to time.  To be around someone that is like us and someone that thinks the same way we do, that play the same way we do, that likes the same things we do.  Someone just for us.

It amazes me on this puppy adventure that Jerry and I have embarked on, how much we can learn from Rosie.  She actually requires very little of us, she loves us even though we are not like her.  We don't talk like her or act like her or play like her. We do talk to her and play with her and take care of her, but we are very different than her and she loves us anyway.

I love my Rosie even though we are so different.
